Turn AI sharing off.
Features such as voice entries and Ask Juniper send the information they need to an AI provider. You can turn this sharing off in Settings at any time.
- On the web, open Settings, then Account, and find Juniper’s section at the top. On iPhone, open Settings, then Juniper.
- Turn off Let Juniper use an AI provider. On iPhone, the switch is called Let her use an AI provider.
- To see what information each feature sends and who receives it, tap What gets sent. The Privacy Policy has more detail.
- To use these features again, turn the same switch back on. If you tap Dictate while sharing is off, you can choose Turn on sharing or Type it instead.
What still works
You can type journal entries, manage goals and waypoints, add achievements, use the Hall of Fame, pin items in Reflect, receive journal check-ins, and export your data.
Your keyboard’s microphone also works because it enters text without sending its recording to YearCraft.
What stops
Turning sharing off stops new voice entries through Dictate, journal ideas, follow-up questions, waypoint suggestions, postcard drawings, scrapbook captions, and reflection drafts.
Juniper also stops searching your journal for achievements and creating titles for untitled entries. Your existing entries and recordings stay.
Good to know
Turning sharing off stops new requests. It does not recall information already sent to a provider. The Privacy Policy explains how long providers keep it.
Your writing is never used to train AI models, ours or the provider’s.
