Claude and ChatGPT

Talk to your year from wherever you already are.

Connect YearCraft to Claude or ChatGPT and log an entry, check off a waypoint, or ask how a goal is going without opening the app. It is part of Pro.

Two minutes to set up

In Claude

Open Settings, then Connectors, and add a custom connector with the address below. Sign in to YearCraft when it asks and approve access. Claude Code works too, with the same address.

In ChatGPT

Open Settings, then Connectors, and create one with the same address. Sign in to YearCraft and approve access. Any assistant that takes a custom connector can use it the same way.

The address

Sign-in happens on YearCraft's own page, so the assistant never sees your password.

Things to say

Say it the way you would say it to a friend.

  • Log a journal entry: this morning's run was slow but I did the whole loop. Link it to my marathon goal.

Writes the entry, links it to the goal, and gives it a title.

  • Mark Run 10K reached on my marathon goal.

Finds the waypoint by name and checks it off.

  • How is my year going? What's coming up this month?

Reads the year summary and the next waypoints.

  • Add a goal to read 24 books this year, with a waypoint at the end of each quarter.

Creates the goal and four waypoints dated by month.

  • I finally baked a sourdough loaf. Add it to my achievements, done last Sunday.

Adds the achievement with the date it happened.

  • Give me three things to write about tonight.

Asks Juniper for ideas drawn from your goals and recent entries.

What it can reach

Goals and waypoints

Add, rename, reach, reopen, or delete goals and waypoints, by name. No ids to copy around.

Journal

Write and edit entries, link them to goals, and ask Juniper for something to write about.

Achievements

Add one, mark it done on a date, log it again when it happens again, or browse the suggestions.

Year in review

Read the finished scrapbook. Answering the questions stays in the app, where Juniper walks you through them.

Rules of the trail

Your journal, on your terms.

  • It is part of Pro. On Free the connection installs and every request answers with a note about Pro.
  • The assistant sees your data only when you ask it something, and only yours.
  • Deleting is the one thing we ask the assistant to check with you first.
  • Disconnect from the assistant's connector settings whenever you like.
